Jay Armfield, of Plano is on his final week of civilian life before he is shipped to Marine Boot Camp on Paris Island. Jay was in the Army before but was discharged with an injury. For the past 3 years he has been on the Alton volunteer fire department and that gave kept him going until a year ago he decided that he would join the Marines.
