In a small alleyway near the Naghuib Mahfouz metro station downtown a small place called “Khartoum Restaurant” serves mainly Sudanese residents, workers, and refugees. Outside a small cove is filled with people drinking spicy coffee and chatting in the Sudanese dialect.
