The Theater of a Protest in Cairo

Ignore the pretty images at the beginning of this collection the final blurry image is the most important.

These photos are from a demonstration protesting the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 2006 and it looks like almost any other protest in evening light.  But, the final image gives away the rouse.

After the organic protesters go home the remaining protesters line up and file into security trucks.  They were police or military plants.  Hundreds of them, in a protest with only a few hundred people in all.

I don’t want to mis-estimate, but a significant portion of the protest was just government plants chanting like they were normal protesters.
