Esraa Abdelfattah ( Israa Abdel Fattah, اسراء عبد الفتاح ) one of the founding members of the April 6th movement stand outside her office at the Egyptian Democratic Academy.

Esraa co-founded April 6 Youth Movement Egypt in 2008, a Facebook group to support the workers in El-Mahalla El-Kubra who were planning to strike on April 6. The group eventually became a popular political movement that is still active.

She reappeared as a spokesperson again during the January 2011 nationwide protests in Egypt, active on the internet, and also on the ground, updating Al Jazeera TV with the latest news related to the opposition.
