Final papers, projects and exams loom over these last weeks but I am making time to give this site an update. Its new flexibility with a photo archive and a blog should fit the next few years of my life as I transition out of academia.
With impending graduation comes the predictable question: What now?
My well rehearsed answer, when delivered with a confident swagger, can convince any parent that I don’t plan on just roaming terra incognita in a loin cloth, but after my St. Petersburg Times internship ends in December I have no definite plans.
I’m not really lost though, there are at least 5 good plans floating around in my head, one involves a pirate ship, one a motorcycle, and one might be financially viable.
This is my last week of childish idealism, don’t take it away from me yet.

next will come soon enough. you’re right. enjoy it now, and let those plans stew a while before making any big decisions. an ambitious person is always thinking: what now?
as for roaming terra incognita in a loin cloth, i have a friend who did that. i swear! he got arrested, and sent to a psych hospital. apparently police officers don’t like random naked twenty-somethings, wearing only a blanket, wandering the side of the interstate. they don’t care if you’re trying to find yourself. just fyi.

As a mom we just want a photojournalist that is able to support himself in the way he would like to become accustumed.
at this point we are proud of the kid and hope he remembers “to dance”
Childish idealism is something I could never steal. I will reflect it anytime you may need.
